As you can see from the above picture, Oldland Mill is currently mid-maintenance. However, it boasts an over 300 year history, making it the oldest working windmill in Sussex.
It is truly fascinating to walk up the steps and admire the workmanship of the original builders and restorers alike.
The just under 1 mile walk up from the (free) car park in Ditchling, is gently uphill along a track that is generally in good condition. There are naturally the occasional muddy bits, but nothing too taxing.
A return visit once everything is back in full working order has already been agreed!
